Looking to do a mule deer trespass hunt on private land. Or maybe a deer and elk hunt together. I am going to be contacting Rocky Mountain Ranches. Has anyone hunted with them before? And what are some other outfitters I should talk to that you guys would recommend? Thanks

Weather and the development of winter range have hurt just about every mule deer herd in the West. You can't control the weather and it will take a lot of money to stop the development of winter range.

Didn't hunt it. Can't remember now why I didn't and I don't remember where I hunted for sure that year. Getting old sucks.

Didn't say it was law. Just pointing out how it has changed.

Points=Public Land in WY. Then more points a unit takes the more public land the unit will have. This isn't always the case but it's a good way of thinking about it. With only 2 points I would really consider applying in the special draw.

Did anyone see that the outfitter proposal is now 40% of the tags being applied for in December for an extra $300?

My dad and I are both in with max pts. We did not apply together but did apply for the same unit. So hopefully at least one of us draws.

I use to get upset about change but not anymore. I just pray for pain and suffering for those who caused the change. It's made my life so much more pleasant.

I bought a deer B tag for the unit I will be hunting. I won't fill it if I kill a buck. I can't get myself to shoot a young "meat buck" anymore. I'll find a big doe without fawns an take her instead.
