On these kind of raffles, I'm assuming if you win it's treated like winning the lottery where you have to pay taxes on the value on everything you received. Does anyone know if that's correct?

Sadly it's like most every other law, it's an attempt to get people to quit doing stupid things that aren't good for them, animals, etc. The problem is the ones already doing the dumb things usually don't care if they are breaking the law or not so they are only hurting the law-abiding citizens...

Yeah I live about 2 miles from the Utah line so I already by a combo license there every year. They are getting plenty of money out me just in that much less my expo donations.

If it was the last one it would have to be a family elk hunt throughout the entire rut. It doesn't matter the state as long as it's around big mountains and bugling elk running everywhere. Preferably with a great place to fish in the middle of it to waste away the times in between bugles...now...

Congrats on an awesome tag! Me personally I would hunt it DIY as that's what I like to do. However, it's not my tag so I'd say if 300" is good you could easily pull it off yourself, 330" good chance, 350" a lot slimmer but still possible. If you want the biggest bull you can get then a guide...

I'm pretty sure there was a new law saying no new builds and the only towns open to move into is Jackson Hole, Casper, and Rawlins. The rest of the state is closed to new residency. Thankfully they shut it down after I moved here in 2020.
