If it's panguitch I'd be curious to know where. I hunt a lot of places in the unit and all have more growth since the fire than shown in that picture. Also, as mentioned above, that looks to be a more recent burn, but I'm definitely not an authority on the subject.

I've never hunted whitetail so I'd shoot it to give the meat a try. Especially if it is a big one. Then I'd do a euro mount and put it up between a couple of mulies.

Is it possible it was gored and not shot? I'm not certain how often it happens with muley's but I know it does with elk. I had a friend videoing elk on the San Juan years ago that watched a six point ram another bull in the side and watched it die right there.

I'm personally glad you shared the video. A lot of people will learn from it and become better hunters because of it. Sometimes the best lessons are the hardest learned and this may save someone from having to learn the hard way. Great job to follow up and congrats to the hunter!

Last week I shot a buck with my .270 with 145 eldx. Straight up hill approximately 125 yds. The bullet exploded on it's brisket and he dropped like a rock. Massive chest damage to say the least

The neighbors house right across the street got hit. I was inside my home and seen the flash with a deafening boom at the same instance. The neighbors were home and mighty shaken but not harmed. Their appliances, t.v. and most of their electronic items unfortunately got fried.

We killed so many we'd also get feeling guilty so we started ear marking them. Some of those jacks had ears that looked like Swiss cheese after a couple of weekends.

If a person can't tell the difference between a mature bull and a young cow when eating it they must have covid, cause there's a huge difference.
