Copper I must have been typing as you posted. I think the one on the left uses 209’s in the little plastic holders but I think on the right looks like it’s for musket caps. Someone a lot smarter than me would need to verify.

My deer shows selected. Elk still shows eligible. So I I’m hoping deer is finalized

So besides me there are only 23 other desert sheep tags what are the odds one of those guys sees this thread. ? But yes I did get ultra lucky, I have a Caballos tag and Dec 1 can’t come soon enough

This is a buck I hunted this year. He lived through my season I know he lived through the 2nd rifle season as well. So hopefully next year he’s still roaming.

No, he beat up his velvet when he fell. You can see the bullet hole in the side of his chest. This angle shows alot more of the damaged velvet.

Maybe I just plan on being lucky, I will fully admit to it. But I've had 4 quality elk tags in N.M. and 2 great elk tags in ID in the last 15 years personally. In the same time I have also drawn AZ 2 times. Never in CO or NV, in Wyoming 2 times but only in the first 4 years of the point system...

I was thinking of camping at Mormon res. How is the camping there I couldn't tell if there were good places. Also how would it be for my older kids in a raft or canoe.

It's super early August 1-29 are the hunt dates. Would be pretty cool to get a bull in velvet. But I would be scared to shoot anything to far from roads due to heat.
