Sometimes the smiles are bigger than the horns. Took Grandpa a lifetime to draw his first CA antelope tag. I doubt 56 years ago he thought he'd eventually be hunting with his son and grandson.

Don't forget to look south of the highway to the AZ border. We saw good bucks there a couple years ago. Just a warning, you'll seldom see the same buck twice.

My youngest daughter, Sarah, and her first buck. She hunted all of a couple hours and it only took one shot in the neck with her .223 at 40 yards! It was a an awesome hunt! She was one happy girl.

My daughter, Becca, got drawn for a late season buck tag in Oregon and while "the big one got away", she was able to make a nice shot on this buck. We had a great time chasing rutting bucks all week. It was an awesome time in the woods.
