Shot a forkhorn, couldn't stop myself

This buck was on my hitlist from the first time I saw him in the spring. He was not the buck I was after, but when he presented a shot I did not hesitate for a second. Spot and stalk Northern Utah.

    Found Quiver on the Front.

I found an Apex quiver with ACC 390?s buried in the snow. Between the quiver, arrows, and broadheads, somebody lost a couple hundred bucks in the steep terrain. Wasatch front between Big and Little Cottonwood fairly low on the mountain. PM me to claim.

    Backpack tag team

I have a question for you hard core backpack hunters. My default go to method of Bowhunting is solo backpack/bivy hunting. While I have had marginal success, I ALWAYS get a quality opportunity and ALWAYS have a great time. This year, I will be sharing a Colorado high country mule deer hunt...

    Coastal Archery Black Bear

I am working out my ?wish? list for the next 5 years, and a coastal archery black bear hunt keeps coming up. I am planning on spring 2011. I am curious to hear who has done this in the past. How was your experience. Options to DIY and forgo the guide. Guide recommendations. Boat charter...

    Even a Blind Squirrel. . . . .

I finally closed the deal on a bull I am thrilled about. I know there are better bulls on this unit, but I promised myself I would go directly after the first bull I saw that met my minimum standards. This beautiful animal is MORE than enough for me. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this...

LE Utah Archery Elk. . . What a BLAST!!!

I don't want it to end! After 12 years it applying for an archery tag, (I am more than a little unlucky) I am finally in the game. I had no idea it would see this much action or have this much fun. After the first 5 days of backpack hunting I have had 2 legitimate chances at 340 bulls and I...

    Pack horse quandary

I am looking to hire a pack service for my south central Utah archery elk hunt this year. I have never worked with an outfitter or a pack service before. I am curious what experiences you guys have had hiring pack horses, mules, etc. (Good, bad, ugly) What should I look for? What should I...

In desperate need of moral support!

Alright guys, time to swallow my prided and go to the pros. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Since I switched from Archery Elk (with Muley?s second) to a full time mule deer fanatic, I AM ON A 7 YEAR DRY!! No kidding, I have hunted mule deer VERY hard for seven years and I can't seem...
