Well, luck was on my side finally and I drew Slide Ridge A this year. My plan is to spend close to two weeks up there searching for a good one. I'm thinking of applying for these areas as a backup if Montana doesn't come through this year. Anybody out there know the odds of drawing a nonresident tag? Also is there much BLM land or is it strictly private? Any advise or comments would really help.

I drew out for Dungeness E, Any bull, Sept. 1-30. It's an elk area just outside of Sequim composed of private land so the hunt will be a damage deal. I plan on heading over there to do my own leg work but if anybody has info to share that would be great...

Has anyone hunted this unit? Looks like the early rifle season produces quite well and I would love a nice Roosevelt. I drove the unit recently and sort of dis-liked it mainly because I'm not sure how one would hunt it effectively? Looks like lots of dark timber and a little bit of prime river...

Has anyone noticed the proposed youth hunts for the desert unit? I hope they get shot down in this weekends WDFW meeting. I'm all for giving our youth special opportunities, just not in a states premier permit only areas.

Does anybody know this unit? I've been applying here for 2 years and was recently told that access could be an issue. Is most of the goat country locked behind private land? Any help would be great.
