I drew this tag on accident for the last season and am looking for places to start. I am more than willing to trade Idaho or oregon information. Additionally I have a lot of AK fishing info.
Like the post says, looking for a DIY Oryx tresspass hunt for 2-4 hunters this fall.
Hunted them unsuccessfully this year off range and have the bug bad. (went 1 for 2)
Buddy drew a 5b late rifle bull tag, I am going along to help.
I'll take tips, but I have some good starts.
My question is, are there any birds to hunt in there like chukars, quail, etc?
I've got a couple places to start, but I'm always looking for more.
I'm not interested in going into the wilderness because I plan on taking my daughter with me. Looking for a place where I can kill one within a mile or 2 of the road because I will be packing it myself with my 7 year old...
We're looking at just doing a DIY hunt in NM this year. Thinking 51 or 52 1st rifle elk. I've guided my fair share of elk in Oregon and been a part of several dieing. That being said, we just want an opportunity to hunt. Getting 3 tags in a great unit is out of our budget. Just looking to shoot...
What hunt would you recommend for a guy with 19 non res elk points? Doesn't matter if its rifle or bow or even a late hunt.
I'm helping a buddy of mine out and he's looking for a quality hunt with a chance to kill a great bull.
My buddy drew 22 south late rifle and is looking for a little info, hes hunted 9 late 4 times and has been a part of more elk kills than everyone I know.
Any Idea what to expect as far as bulls and places to start looking. I'd be more than happy to trade Oregon information in return.
My hunting partner has the early bull tag for 7E and is looking for a place to start. He's young, hunts hard, and is very experienced in the back country. More than willing to trade info that we have on oregon etc.
A friend of mine has this tag who is not internet savy. Hes a hell of a hunter though. Between the 2 of us we have intel Oregon, Wa, and Idaho that we would gladly trade for the intel on 161-164.
PM's work great.
I have some clients looking for a good ranch to hunt in Montana or? ? Its a party of five, looking for rifle bull on a place with decent success on 280+ bulls.
I'm not an agent, just looking to help some friends.
My pregnant wife got er done, killed the biggest ram on the mountain.

I posted the story over on rokslide and I am just too lazy to rewrite it.

On Thursday afternoon my hunting partner drew walla walla rifle random. I'm going to draw it in a couple years and we had plans to do atleast 1 or 2 spike hunts to get the lay of the land, low and behold he drew it random with 9 points.
As if that wasn't enough, I checked the wife's draws last...
I need to find someone with 10 points to apply with our party.
The only thing I can offer is financial compensation as we have some private ground locked up that I can't get a LOP tag for my BIL on.
The other option would be to purchase a MC 1st season outfitter tag.
I am going to take my dad elk hunting for his 60th birthday next year.
I have one option I am pondering which involves me giving up all of my Oregon points, but the ranch is 100% for bulls averaging about 280. The downside is that the I lose 12 points and my chance to ever hunt the big three...

Will be out in January along with a complete new line of SLC binos, all HD with a lower price point.
The new 15's will be significantly lighter with a Magnesium instead on a Aluminum body.
I was in the cabelas lacey this weekend and they have a bunch of recon Swaros in their bargain cave. They had 10x42 EL Swarovisions for 1900 with a full warranty, a set of El 10x42 range for 2250, and some 10x50's and 8.5 x 42 Els a well.
I am looking for the what everyone opinion on the best archery rangefinder is? I am stictly looking for under 300 yards with angle comp to 100. I have a good long range range finder already that will do angle from 35 out ( EL Range bino's), just looking for a small hand held one that will do close.
LAST EDITED ON Jan-10-13 AT 10:25AM (MST)[p]Did anyone see the episode this week where he was hunting in Utah and someone yelled at him for hunting their elk and then drove into the middle the elk in their truck honking the horn?
Seemed a little classless from the guy in the white pick up...
I have seen a couple of threads on guys hunts.. I was wondering how people did on them. I have been in the unit 5 times in the last 6 years scouting and killing antalope (archery tags/helping buddies) and will gladly trade info on my knowledge of lopes.
Please feel free to send me a PM. There...
We bought left over tags for unit 26, I have started calling Land Owners and have unit maps showing public ground, but any tips or leads on landowners would be greatly appreciated. I have a ton of info about Oregon and Alaska to share in trade.
I've used them successfully for geese.. (had a plywood holestein fully equipped with a gun rack that was hell at dairys) But I am looking at getting one for antalope hunting with by Bow, does anyone have any reccomendations on one they have used in the past as a single shooter?
I am looking for a small framed GWP or Drathaar. Looking for parents under 50 lbs if possible. Also they need to come from a hunting backgound, not looking for show/potlicking history. My male chess is done (hes about blind) So I am in a bind to get a pup to get started before the next bird...
I am looking for a private land combo hunt for elk and deer (DIY). I want to take my dad before he gets too much older. I think he would be pretty much happy with any elk and a decent muley. Feel free to PM me.
When is oregon going to have some QUALITY opportunities to hunt elk and deer. More than just the very few that there are? This constant push for opportunity in this state has most bulls and bucks getting killed when they still have their milk mustaches. Has there been any talk of making any more...
