The winter range around where I live went into winter looking horrible. Over grazed and little to none regrowth on grass/forbes because of lack of rain through the summer. Will they be ok time will tell hope they can find some areas that didnt get the crap grazed out of it by cattle!

I carry 1 knife... Havalon Titan. Use the fixed blade for capeing down the neck and for pulling back quarters off. The rest is done with the replaceable blade. I always have a few extra blades just in case. I have no reason to pack another knife

I took mine to Big Stuff taxidermy a couple years ago.. Did a great job and the guys are great. They are out in Tooele but not a far drive from SLC..

There is the $40 preference point fee which I assumed was only charged if you didnt draw or if you had purchased a small game or a fishing license or a big game license you wouldnt be charged for the preference charge. new system might take a little getting used to.. $43 is an odd amount

Best story I have read in a long time!! no sense shooting something just to shoot it. The famous line of "its not as big as I wanted but I shot him anyway" make me cringe. Go hunt for what you want to hunt if you dont see it know you gave your all to try and make it happen and didnt settle

I use both GPS and Iphone on X app... I like the phone app maybe a little better easier to see detail on the phone. Just make sure you down load your hunt area before going hunting. I didnt take my GPS the last hunt of the year cause I wasnt using it at all used only my phone.. If I recall...
