I have 10 points this year and am in the same boat as you. I ended up applying and burning some points this year. I hopefully picked the right unit. The units I have been dreaming of drawing I don't think will ever happen with point creep.

Grizzly, Thats a stud bull congrats. Couldn't pass him up for sure. I love big moose. He looks a bit bigger than 149, did you have him officially scored? He looks bigger than mine Idaho bull, and mine scored 157.

Tons of hunters everywhere. It jumped 40 percent this year from last year in hunters and I am assuming you are one of the 40 percent. Much better units to hunt if you know how to do your homework. Sorry for the bad news.

You can buy replica skulls. I have searched for a moose skull in the past and it was difficult. You could do it, but I would just get a replica bought and save yourself some time and headache. There are several companies that make them.

Tons of people makes for pretty rough hunting. If you like seeing lots of people while you are hunting have at it.

Its a good unit, but it gets more and more people every year. I wouldn't rule out diamond creek, it is a good unit as well. I chased the biggest bull I ever have in my life in the diamond creek zone. Key word is chased, seems to be the story of my life though. :)

Unit 61 is a good unit. Don't let the glass half full of wolves people discourage you. I have seen several good bulls in that unit. Do wolves kill moose? Yes, but it still should be a good hunt.

Why on earth do you need a bounty. Every hunter shoots every coyote they see anyways bounty or not. Also the guys who are good at it love doing it, so they would probably kill as many coyotes regardless of if they get paid or not. Waste of money in my opinion.

I would avoid 22, the deer population in that area had tanked the last few years. With 8 points I would wait it out and draw a better tag. You would be wasting years drawing 22 as it doesn't take that many points to draw.
