Colorado Gmu 2 Muzzy Mule Deer

A ton of wide open country in unit 2. I have Antelope hunted unit 2 and hunted deer in Wyoming just North of there. Get good quality glass and look look look. There are more animals out there than you would expect Crusher23

    Colorado Unit 18

I've hunted 18 off and on since 1985. Everyone's comments are correct. If you are patient and learn to still-hunt dark timber, there are some really nice bucks. Don't spare the shoe leather and you stand a chance, walk to an opening and sit and you won't see much. Crusher23

    Colorado

Buddy and I drew muzzle loading buck tags in 201. I've been there many times and seen some tremendous deer. Hope we can find two of them now that we have tags!

    Black Powder bullets

Thanks for the reply. I have been shooting black powder for 20+ years so I am pretty familiar with what needs done. I just recently retired my old .54 hawken and bought a TC inline in .50 (which is about the biggest standard production caliber anymore) I used the TC maxi-hunter for many years...

    Black Powder bullets

Looking for anyone that has used Federal Premium? Trophy Copper Muzzleloader Bullets with the B.O.R. Lock MZ System. Looking to draw a hard to get tag and don't want problems with ammo. I recently switched from my old 54 caliber side ignition to an inline 50 caliber and need to retool a bit...

    Oh....Wyoming, What Are You Doing?

RE: Oh....Wyoming, What Are You Doing? What Wyoming seems to miss is the "hidden money" associated with Non resident hunters. Gas, Food, Beer, Soda, Ice, etc. They have priced the fishing licences the same way and now they have a mandatory Invasive Species sticker for boats and they don't have...

    Colorado unit 201 tag drawn

Thats a fair question. If you would have asked right after the hunt, the answer might have been different. I went up there on three different 5 day scouting trips and then went up for the hunt 4 days early. I knew the size of the bulls that are there. I left holding my tag strictly by my choice...

    Colorado unit 201 tag drawn

I hunted 201 three years ago with a muzzleloader after having 17 points. There are enormous bulls in there if you are willing to walk. It is a bigger area then it appears and an ATV is highly advised. The ATV's can navigate the roads much easier than a full size truck. We would park ours at...

    Region W - Wyoming

My sons and I drew tags for this area this fall. We will get out and do some scouting this summer but I'm hoping people can help out a little. My boys have never filled a tag and are really anxious. They don't need trophies, just some decent, legal deer would be perfect. I've got a tag as well...

    Colorado 2/201 Antelope

What will you be driving around in? I'll be up there with a buck tag as well. I'll be in a black Ford F350 with a topper on it. The info about Cold Springs is decent. I spent a bunch of time up there 2 years ago with an elk tag. I didn't see any goats worth that many points but there are a ton...

    Unit 201 - Early Rifle

Stryker, I was lucky enough to hunt elk there with a muzzleloder two years ago. I am more than willing to pass on what we found out the hard way. Send me a PM if you would like to and I will tell what I know and where we found the elk. The Crusher

    Antelope is posted

I drew a unit 2 - 201 buck tag. I muzzleloader hunted elk there two years ago but didnt spend much time scouting goats. We saw a ton of them but I wasn't looking real close. Which section has better heads? 2 or 201? I got a 16 7/8ths beauty from unit 3 12 years ago so I'm looking to improve on...

    Colorado 201 muzzle loading

We both live over on the front range of Colorado. Where do you live? I have a brother-in-law in Rock Springs and another one in Green River. We hunted the Wyoming side for deer in area 102 a few years back and I have hunted deer and antelope on the west side of the Gorge many times. I love that...

    Colorado 201 muzzle loading

The long wait is over. My buddy and I finally drew these tags. We are stoked to say the least. We are in information gathering mode right now and planning several trips to camp and scout this summer along with lots of time shooting. Would anyone be willing share any experience thay have had? I...
