Elk guide recommendations with 10 NR points

if you’ve spent this much time gaining points I think wagonhound outfitters is who I would key in on and if you need more points I’d still settle with them. I antler hunt that area and I think it has more consistent nice bulls than anywhere else in the state

Thanks. After a lifetime of chasing them in my part of the country. Wise old bulls and steep country with unpredictable wind has kicked my ass for a lot of years. This was a blessing. I'm thankful for the random draw instead of a point system. Maybe I'm a sucker for chance but I'm excited for...

My buddy and I are officially done. This bull has been on our radar for a while. A brute, bully and an amazing elk to have had the pleasure of pursuing. How many times he has been in bow range and snuck by can barely be counted on one hand. He traveled a huge loop. Maybe 15 miles. We saw a few...

His ivories seemed pretty worn. His teeth especially bottoms were wore off. I'm assuming the win and rain mixed with sand after a storm takes their teeth out? Or is this actually an older elk? I will get the tooth data back later

I think it has to do with mud being everywhere. After boiling the head I noticed you can basically wash the color off

Tons of bugles. Best archery hunt I've ever been on. Elk were receptive to calls. Each stalk and set up was a minimum of a 3 mile walk in relatively flat ground which was nice

The hunt went well. Scouting produced better bulls but in areas on fringes most wouldn't expect. I couldn't pass this bull.

    Wyoming nightmare...

Pneumonia killed those antelope because they were using their bone marrow as nutrients which brought about not having an immune system. The winter killed them...

Donating H tag to a vet?

I appreciate this Info. I just got the paperwork via email to donate my my cow tag from the info you gave. Your response was worth it's weight in gold and some lucky disabled vet has an opportunity to elk hunt. Everyone on this page should give you the shirt off their back.

    LET A DEER WALK

I've never seen so many wives in line to buy a deer tag this year. Hopefully it all goes to a good cause. I'm from the area and I know that Zach and his father in law have a good reputation as stand up guys. I'm glad somebody is trying something. I think what the government agencies have done...

    New WY Hunter Survey

I got one of those surveys. Like non typical said eventually they will get the answers they want. All that's gonna happen is they are going to manage you right out of a general tag and manage to fit a historic deer herd in the outhouse. I'm curious about high fencing the major migration...

Changing My Tune on Western Wyoming Mule Deer

The hills have been pretty barren of deer this summer. Looks like some made it. If I have to guess there is a 70 percent decline in the area I spend my time.

    Area 100 Type 1

A friend and I drew out type 1 area 100 tags this year. We've spent a lot of time in the area since we found out we drew. I've been able to locate elk along with several bulls. The heat this summer made for tough scouting. The amount of water in the area really threw me for a loop. I've located...

    Muley fanatic foundation

I haven't posted on mm in so long I had to redo my registration.. the worse thing that ever happened to the winter range for the Wyoming range was this organization. Thousands of acres of prime time core sage brush were bushhawged.. I wish they would mind thier own business and keep thier antics...
