Been up scouting on the wasatch a few times this year and the elk are looking really good!! You guys should have a great hunt! Pretty lucky for a young kid to get a LE elk tag!! Good luck this year!

18 years for a tag... I would hunt as hard as I could to find something bigger than him. If you are someone who loves elk meat and does not want to go home empty handed then, he would do just fine on the last day of the hunt.

The unit was burned a few years back and so there is very little cover. It is steep and nasty country. There are some good deer on the unit but it is not very friendly to the archery hunters. Its usually blistering hot for 3 out of the 4 weeks with very little weather to keep the deer moving...

I am not much of a shed hunter. I have only been out 5 times or so but I think that I may become hooked after finding this shed! The horn scores 95 inches The entire cheater was buried in the dirt! I was shocked to say the least when I picked it up!
