    Clapton vs Bonamassa

Answering the OP's question, Clapton. Been a fan of his for, OMG, almost 50 years! He's definitely at or near the top of the list. Man has 9 lives though. Glad he's still around. Bonamassa is dang good also. SRV died in a helicopter crash in 1990. He was touring and opening for Clapton at...

    Made my donation today! :ROFLMAO:

    Bonus Point odds are up

Yep. Multiple possibilities. Just very odd that 5 of the tags went to NRs with only 2 points. Lucky applicants that's for sure.
  7. Joe2Kool

    Bonus Point odds are up

Wow! At a minimum, one lucky group of NRs and one lucky NR! Or more likely, an AZGFD draw screwup!

    Bonus Point odds are up

I noticed Unit 8, Hunt Code 3138, took 14 points for a NR to draw in the Bonus Round, but 5 NRs drew with only 2 points in the 1-2 pass. Can 5 NRs apply in one group? If so, that's a lucky group. If not, that's 5 EXTREMELY lucky NRs!!

    Javelina hunt

Glad you didn't get stuck again! :) :) Nice Euro! Hope you can fix the jawbone. No experience there, but I"ve learned if my DIY Euros simmer/boil too long, they get brittle. I've switched to the pressure washer/short boil method.

Interesting Graph Upper Shoshone Mule Deer Antler Size

It would be interesting to see the number of deer in each sample size. I'd guess in any study, the 5,6,7 year-old category is much smaller, than 2,3,4's. It is interesting to see the relationship between the blue, orange, and red bars is the same for 2,3,4,5 year-olds. I'm guessing that is...

How to tell my taxidermist his work is not as good as it once was?

This seems like a very reasonable approach. It puts the emphasis on "this is what I prefer" instead of "I don't like what you're doing." Yea, both say the same thing but the latter could cause a defensive reaction.

    Reloading?

    Now that's funny!
  19. Joe2Kool

    Reloading?

From the responses, it seems reloading for centerfire rifles is more of a hobby than a money saving proposition. What about reloading for shotguns, specifically for skeet shooting? Any cost savings there? I typically buy in bricks of 10 boxes for about $10-12 a box.

What kind of bike rack is that? I need one and thinking one that supports the wheels is the way to go instead of the rack support.

You hunting Turkey's this year? (Poll)

I've deer hunted Iowa, but never turkey hunted it. Was thinking I would use a turkey hunting trip as a scouting trip next time. Are tags OTC? Draw? Limited number of first come? Good luck and kill a big 'un!

    Hobbies outside of hunting?

I've done a few marathons and always said they were crazy. And that half marathons were only half-crazy. But ultras? Never done one and don't have any plans to do one. Halfs are my favorite. Nice blend of speed and endurance, for me. Barkley just finished last week. I think the first...

CO 66 vs 67 elk rifle

I don't have any specifics on either, but I am looking at 66 for next year. It kinda depends on how many points you have. In 2023, 66-2R took 3 points to draw. 67-2R only took 1. Good luck!

CO Draw Question - OTC Elk Tag as Second Choice?

Yep. That's the plan. 3R OTC and burn points next year. I've been convinced to wait until closer to the season to buy the tag.

Your Favorite Method of Hunting? (Poll)

ML for me. Mine is a tack driver. Season opens sooner. Can use ML during gun season. And some of the local draw hunts are shotgun/ML only. Might have a different opinion if I lived in a western state where tags were not as available as my home state whitetail tags.

    Hobbies outside of hunting?

Hmmm. I have several that are hunting related, such as camping and riding my ATV. But outside of hunting season, maybe once every couple of months. I'm also addicted to checking my trail cams. And I piddle with a little taxidermy. But hobbies that I do regularly are: 1) Skeet shooting, 3-4...
