Stomper and RdRdr, let me know how your hunt went. I'm headed there Oct 8 for the Oct 14th first rifle season. Plan to scout for 5 days as I never been there before. Good luck.

I'll be there the week after you for 1st season rifle. I actaully plan to arrive Sunday evening the week before, so will be there during your MZ hunt. I've never been there myself, so decided to arrive 5 days early to scout. Good luck!

Depends on the hunt. In a tough public land hunt I'd take him. I drew in the Valle Vidal this year, so holding out for a 300+ bull.

Should be an excellent hunt. 16C is a great unit.

I was lucky enough this year to draw the only non-resident tag for the Valle Vidal hunt in NM for 1st season rifle, no guide. It's a once in a lifetime hunt. Being from WI, I won't be able to scout the area ahead of time. I plan to take 2 weeks off and arrive 5 days ahead of the hunt to scout...

Nice buck. I would mount him unless you already have bigger ones mounted. I started doing the Euro mounts as they look good too and save on room and money!
