Not as many elk as the neighboring units but chances of finding a big boy are still good. It’s pretty rough country so make sure you are in shape to hike some miles. Lots of camping or there is a little hotel in Capitan that has a couple of places to eat right next to it.

34 is not quite as physical as 36. Bulls are pretty equal in both units. Chris is a bad ass outfitter, book with confidence.

Be very careful, part of the ski resort IS on tribal land. If you shoot one on it your weekend will be ruined very fast. No fences or markers, you need a gps.

If you are going to use one of these tags this coming season are you excluded from putting in the draw? Am not sure if you allowed a regular tag as well when using a depredation tag.

I have bought one tag from RMEF and yes, you do get a receipt and yes it is 100% tax deductible.

I think letting everyone know if you have a specific state in mind and maybe even budget would help

Look on Sportoptics.com that is where I bought mine. You can find them under the spotting scope section and then go to cases and accessories. I think mine was $150 which to me is a small price to pay to protect something you pay several thousand dollars for.
