Youtube just banned instructional firearm videos. They have a very liberal group monitoring their content now. I would encourage all sportsman to move to a different format such as dailymotion. Deleted my youtube account today.
LAST EDITED ON Nov-04-16 AT 01:44PM (MST)[p]Nothing big this year, but this is the first year both my son and I were able to connect with our bows. Getting old with a lot of memories, but this is one of the best memories! Hope I was able to upload the photos.
Took the little guy on his first deer hunt on the Pauns. Made the mistake of taking him scouting hard all day Thurs. & Friday. By the time opening morning came he was ready to shot a yearling and be done. We found some nice ones scouting, but they weren't there opening morning. That evening, we...
I stopped on my way home today in Gunnison Utah at the 5 Star Drive in, and they have a picture there that the lady told me was this year but she didn't know which unit. The picture said 451 5/8 and it looked every bit of it. 8x8. Someone has to have a picture that they can post here. It's an...
Senators Bob Bennett & Orrin Hatch of Utah both voted in favor of the confirmation of Cass R. Sunstein to be Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Management and Budget (in short ?Regulatory Czar?). Is this what they think their constituents want?
It's...
Wow, a 36" buck was the big attraction in November in an area just off the edge of the Pauns. That was until a local guy showed up in Ceder City to have him mounted. When no tag was present the F&G got involved. The guys story is it was hit by a car. Same guy has been in trouble a couple times...
LAST EDITED ON Feb-03-08 AT 08:43PM (MST)[p]What's up with the Utah big game application period being extended to the end of February? Does anyone know why this was done?

I've wanted a nice spotting scope for a long time now, but just can't bring myself to spend the bucks. I've found a good price for a Vortex spotting scope, but it's made in China, and worries me that I'm making a big mistake. Has anyone tried these out?
Well, my brother-in-law Birch Moore was lucky enough to draw a limited entry rifle elk tag. 12 points I believe, so he had been waiting for a while. He's from the area we hunted, and we had half the town telling us where to find the big one, but we got a lot of conflicting info. We did get some...
Saw pictures today of another Utah monster. The hunter said they rough scored it at 395, but unless the picture is really misleading, it's got to be well over 400". I'm going to try to contact him tomorrow and ask if we can post the picture. He has 20+" 3's and a 7th kicker on both sides. Not...
My friend drew a Vernon tag because of the automatic entry from his dedicated hunter tag. He asked me to go out and scout with him. He nor I know very much about the unit. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dub
I saw a 380 bull that came off of Indial Peaks today. It had a beautiful back end. The guy said there was a 410 bull they wanted, but he was totally broken up on both sides.

How's this for luck? My little brothers friend drew a Pavaunt Elk tag last year, and an Arizona Unit 9 elk tag this year, and a 13B deer tag. I'm thinking he might want to purchase a lottery ticket.

I saw an awsome New Mexico bull on e-mail today. I assumed it would be out here today when I got home. Has anyone got pictures they can post? If I remember right, it went 404 typical.
Is anyone else out there starting to become annoyed by four wheelers in the back country. Foot trails I've used for years are now well used four wheeler trails. I love riding as much as the next guy, and a lot of hard work has been eased by using a four wheeler, but we've got to draw the line...
Does anyone know what the Utah Non-typical state record score is? I can't find it anywhere. I'm hoping to post you the pictures of the new one tomorrow.
Hey guys here's a story that kept me up last night and probably will again tonight. My friend and I had a 370 bull hold up on us about 150 yards out. He was traveling across the hill side heading toward a small saddle where he would be crossing a road. He held up looking in our direction for...
