buddy stopped by a place that sells powder and bought a 5 pounder of RL19 for 300 bucks. Said RL 26 was 83 a pound and had a 8 pounder for , I think he said 640.

He stopped over with some bullets, 145 Shock hammer for the 270 and 150 Shock hammer for the 7mm08. I looked on their website and they don't list any loads for the 7mm08, I think maybe to heavy of a bullet for the 7mm08? All he is planning is shooting white tail at 100 or less yards. I think...

My friend wants to try some hammer bullets in a 7mm08 and a 270 Winchester, mainly for deer hunting. What weight bullets has anyone had good results with ? Thanks ce61

Never had much luck with 69 smk, had good luck with 60 Gr. vmax and benchmark. Also have had good luck with the 77 smk and it seems like with those, your gun will like the hollow point or the plastic tipped ones , always seems to shoot one better than the other, depending on the rifle. RL 15...

good choice of cartridge, I have been shooting a 6BR for years and the BRA version, like the dasher and BRX, are very accurate and really don't give up much, if any, speed to the larger case 243 and 6mm creedmoor, and use alot less powder .. ce61

I put together a induction annealer that I seen on youtube. Use one of the electric induction bolt heaters, with a off/on/off timer wired between the cord. The timer I have is adjustable to .01 seconds. I made up a board where the brass sets and then drops through a sliding door. Been annealing...

The Marlin 1893, I believe, was the only rifle chambered in it, to my knowledge, it was a 32 Winchester Special, but Marlin didn't want to call it a 32 Winchester Special. Later on the 336s used the 32 Winchester Special stamp on the barrel. My Dad had one and i have it now, he hunted with it...

I think when they came out , they had the ports and then came out with the non ported version when people complained on the noise. Don't think they came out at the same time. ce61

Loaded 49 grains IMR 4350 and 150 grain bullets. Shortened the COAL to fit with a little clearance in the magazine. Cycles and shot fine.

isn't 60 grains a way light load?

A friend has a 270 in a 742 Remington that he wants me to reload for him. Is imr 4350 okay for this application or should a faster burning powder be used because of the gas system... thanks for any input CE61

well I had my 6.5 creedmoor out and shot a 3 shot group at 3.6" at 452 yards, in the X ring, so i was happy with that. ce61
