Big Enough for LE Opening day??

I agree that the bull would be great in 2-3 years but a LE hunt in Utah is a once in 10 year proposition, and I’m being very generous. So if that was the first bull I saw right at first light I may pass but more than likely that bull would very likely be hitting the ground and going home with me

Looking for advice on X9a or X12 or G6 draw

If you’re going to continue to hunt D8 why wouldn’t you consider accumulating points, as they don’t cost you anything but having to get your tag & license early? As for G6 it sound like point creep has flattened out at 12point because that’s how many it took me to draw 5yrs ago and my dad 4 yrs...

    Public Land Turkey Hunting

They’re out there... but you’re going to find it’s tough to find a lot of public land birds in the spring. I’ve found that most of the good habitat is in lower elevations in the foothills and most of that is private. There’s tracts of public that have birds and aren’t super crowded but it’s far...

    Are Core Loks really junk?!

Plenty of game has fallen to green box corelocks. Are there better bullets out there of course and if they are available I’d go with them. But corelock will get the the job done if you keep your distance reasonable and your shot placement in the boiler room you’re going to be fine

Leupold VX-3i CDS 30mm Riflescope (Windplex or Duplex and 40 or 50 MM)

I have both a 40mm and 50mm on a few rifles and I like the 50mm one more. I’d suggest getting the windplex reticle, I don’t think it’s to cumbersome to look through

    state bill ab1254

It's laughable that the legislature feels they know what's best for the wildlife, another example of my favorite animal legislation

    info is out

Thanks for the updates, it's disappointing to hear that there was such a small hunter turnout. It's more disappointing to hear the fish and game handles the process

    Big muleys

California isn't necessarily known for producing big bucks, but the habitat is definitely capable of doing so. My guess would be the eastern sierras along the Nevada border

    Ca DFG Cannabis program

Have you seen their Facebook page? Every third post is about weed growing permit workshops that they hold throughout the state, most in the northern half of the state.

    G6 Kern River

    >No G6 hunters here able to >post anything for this last >season? Y Snowed pretty good the first part of the season so I'd imagine they were able to get some decent deer out of there

    30" draw bow

I think the Hoyt 34 bow with the no.3 module goes up to 32 or 33 inches

    unit 68 3rd season

Well for starters we stayed with a really good friend/former neighbor and had a blast just visiting with them. Was able to get away from work and their BS and to add to it my dad's starting to kind of get up there in age so any hunt with him is a good one. It took us a little while to figure out...

    Gohunt.com

The information that they have is already available on the state fish and game websites, their service is basically a search engine of the states data base which will save you the time of having to navigate through states Fish&Game website, of which some are better than others. As for their draw...

    unit 68 3rd season

Me and my dad drew the 3rd season deer tag, we hunted the area for elk before and saw a lot of deer and no elk. We made the mistake of chasing the 4th season deer tag unsuccessfully and decided to burn the points this year and weren't disappointed with the decision one bit

Best map for 68, 681, 682. Mule deer

I got mine from the forest service in saguache a few years ago, they're not a typical foldable one but they had them printed out on 11x17

    G6 Kern River

Call the western divide ranger district and ask about closures. I drew the tag a few years ago and they closed the lower peppermint road before the season and opened it back during the season. They're supposed to be getting snow this weekend and they don't plow any of the forest service roads so...

    G6

I drew the tag two years ago and got a 3x3 the first morning after passing on 15 legal bucks, my dad drew it last year and he got a a 4x2 it took us longer to find his which was a surprise because there was more snow on the ground last year. The high country is still part of the zone but is...

.270 win non lead ammo questions

If the x zone that you will be hunting doesn't require copper because it's outside of the condor area I would stick with regular lead bullets. If you have to use lead I would go with hornady gmx superformance. The problem that me and my hunting buddies have had with copper bullets is it's just...
