    Uncle's reloading supplies

Thanks! He has more including brass, dies, presses, etc. I'm not ready for the Cat to start the bidding. I just want someone knowledgeable to give me their thoughts on condition as well as values. I wouldn't want to sell anything that wouldn't be safe to use.

    Elk Liver…..Not so much!

My dad and uncles always saved the heart and liver. They offered anyone they ran into on the mountain a "fry of liver." No one ever took them up on their offer. I just leave all the guts in one pile on the hill. No need to scatter them around. A perfect shot would take them both out. Lol

    The Great Larry Mower "Yelum".

"Larry enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. He loved spending his time viewing all the wildlife, especially the world class mule deer with his family and friends on Antelope Island." That pretty much sums up my experiences with my friend Larry on our many trips to the Island. We talked...

430” bull or 45” wide buck?

I like big elk better than a big mule deer. We're talking a good 45" wide buck! I'm taking the buck!

Is it ok to shoot out?

I know a guy that shot and hit a bull elk. He quickly reloaded and in the excitement of the moment forgot his ram rod was still in the barrel. He said it kicked alot harder. His friend let him use his ram rod to reload and finish off the bull. It was a big bull! No, he didn't find his ram rod.

Do you seriously think that the Elk Mountain thugs will cease the Harrassment?

The rancher could just put in a 20' tall corner post and that would solve his problem.

    Thinking about a metal roof.

You can hear rain or hail hitting the roof. Snow tends to slide off losing some of the insulation value during the winter. I do like them though.

    SO BIG FRICKEN DEAL???

My Dad made my older brothers and I a deal. He would buy us each a 22 at age 11. If we wanted a shotgun we had to save the first $50 bucks and he would pay the rest. I saved my $50 when I turned 8 years old. That wasn't exactly what my Dad had in mind when he made the deal with us but he kept...

The REAL way to get muledeer numbers to go up!!

FYI - Lost Creek Area had 3000 antlerless tags issued per year back in the early 80's. I'm sure that also contributed to the lower deer numbers we have today. Lots of antlerless hunts around areas with alot of private property back then.

A MATHEMATICAL QUESTION FOR THE KING NILLER???

Ok cat here's a twist for consideration. I have no studies to back this up or prove a point but here it is. Posthunting seasons we have ruoghly 80% does and 20% bucks remaining. Does this mean that does are the prey 80% of the time? If we carried 30% bucks would that help save a few more fawn...

Campaign to Save Mule Deer Bucks

If able bodied adult hunters would limit their harvest to mature bucks, there could be more tags/opportunity. Hunt more often - hunting versus killing. If everyone needs to harvest every year be ready to keep waiting in longer and longer lines.

Campaign to Save Mule Deer Bucks

My intention is not to take opportunity away from youth or seniors. Like I said, it gets complicated. Point creep is another issue. Honesty would come into play. As a lifetime license holder I would willingly limit my harvests and it's been 7 or more years since my last buck. Just an idea...
