My 13 year old son got one of the youth elk tags this year. We are looking at hunting the north slope. If anyone has any general info they would be willing to share, ie trailheads, drainages to scout I would appreciate it. Feel free to pm me.

I was unable to login at 12, checked back at 1:30 and 233 doe tags were already gone. I was hoping to give my son the best chance possible to get something his first year, oh well, I guess it will have to be an elk.

Talked to the DWR and they have an agreement with the railroad that the railroad maintain access across the tracks, so hopefully the DWR will put enough pressure on them to get it done quick.

I want to thank everyone who offered information or insight for their help with my goat tag. Shot him Friday the 14th at 5:30 pm, after a nearly 7 hour packout we arrived back at the TH at 3:30 am. Then that night got to watch a great Utah game! Go Utes! The best part of the whole experience...

Should I take it? I have enough points to likely draw next year or the following year. I am a non res, but I have 3 4 day weekends to hunt during the hunt.

My brother and I both had early rifle tags. We both tagged out by sunday morning and saw a total of 10-12 bulls and 10-20 cows, the cows may have been the same herd the next day.
