Just read that trail cameras will be banned next year 1/1/22

Just got back from the Forest Lakes area east of Payson and they’re shutting down everything there.

I’m up in 3C now near the gentry tower and none of the tanks got filled here and there are no puddles. We had less than a 10th of an inch of rain here.

I am up in 3C right now by Black Canyon lake. Just driving around up here so I’m not in the heat in the valley. Almost every tank here is dry, pretty bad.

So sorry to hear about your wife Dan. I just lost my wife January 4.

Got my Elk tag 2 days ago

I am 72 years old and I’ve never used a trail cam. I hunt the old fashion way and I’ve always been successful. But I put a lot of time in the field scouting every year that I get drawn. We don’t need cameras, and I hope that the ADFG bands them.

I have a late rifle tag, but was up scouting this last weekend. I have a video but don’t know how to post it.

I will be up there for the turkey season next month, also picked up an elk tag because I saw several last year during the deer hunt and pre scouting. I will post an update on the deer that I see maybe get some pictures before the rifle season opens.

I took the online class earlier this year and printed out the certificate which expired in April. I never had the chance to take the field class yet so my question is. Do I have to take the online class again to get a new certificate or is the old one still good even though it's expired.

Drew 12A west early last year with 0 points, so that is my first choice this year and same unit archery for 2nd choice. Saw lots of bucks in the summer scouting last year. And after archery hunting in California for 20 years I really think I would rather have an archery tag here in 12A than a riffle

A friend and I are planning a bear hunt in unit 23. I've never even been in this unit but have lived in Apache Junction for 2 years now. Plan on going up in a week or two to look around. Any experience as to where to look or start would be appreciated. Thanks Rich

I just registered for the Phoenix field class this morning for March 9th. 30 spaces were available and were filled in less than 15 minutes.

Nice, I think I saw that buck in the summer while scouting.

Spotted them the night before just before dark couldn't get a shot. So we went back the next morning in the dark set up a couple hundred yards apart and the rest is history.

My hunting buddy and I hunted hard every day. Saw lots of deer including some really nice bucks but couldn't get a shot. So finally on the 9th day of the hunt we both tagged out on bucks we had spotted the night before. First time hunting here for both of us and it was a harder hunt than we both...

It's a little cooler down here in Apache Junction Az then it has been lately. Mid 70s for the Lows in the ten-day forecast compared to mid 80s lately. I will be back up there for a week in September probably get there on the 22nd.

I'm sure we will we just missed one another the last time. I'll have my Montana fifth wheel

I was up there last week scouting and saw lots of bucks, biggest group was 14 bucks, 2 does and a fawn. Drew a 12AW early tag, can't wait. Will be up there again in a few weeks doing more scouting. Might put my TC out.

First time drawing this tag. Was up there staying at Jacobs Lake area for a few days last month. Did some driving around the area, and it looks very good. But didn't see a lot, probably in the wrong area. Started out checking the area on Google Earth and the map I picked up when I was up there...
