I do agree that it is likely from coyotes, just not from deep snow. We don't get deep snow and it was in October, 7 months after the last snow. But it absolutely could be from coyotes.

only problem is it hadn't snowed in that area in about 6 months and it's not an area that gets deep snow more than about once a decade. It very well could be from coyotes or another predator though. Nevere seen a wound like that one. It's a deep hole and just looks pretty nasty.

I would venture to guess that if Wyoming removed all of the NR tags in G and H that the units/hunt quality would not improve. More and more people are moving to Wyoming and a lot of them are people that are moving there specifically to take advantage of the liberal hunting opportunities...

Yeah the pictures are very deceiving. It looks like he is close to the ground or the other side of the canyon but that was definitely not the case. He was bluffed up on a nasty cliff and proceeded to fall off an 80 foot cliff to the bottom of the canyon after I shot him.
