Hi Guys, need some info on Colorado. If you had 17 to 18 points there what Unit would you burn them in ?

Hi Guys, hey i need some info on these 3 units if anyone can help- Unit 5, 6 an 201 in Colorado. my buddy an I can draw Muzzleloader in 201, we can draw 3rd or 4th season in 5 an 6 next year . Any info will be appreciated

Nice buck , but if it was taken East of I 5 its consider a cross breed buck for there are Muledeer on that side as well so not a Blacktail. None the less it is a nice buck !

ozzy49938, hunted that unit quite a few years back. There is a old burn north of Paonia we hunted. Get back in off the road in that burned area, we killed a 28 an a 30 inch buck in it. The area north of the burn was good hunting to. We used 4 wheelers to get back in area.

Plumdog, what do you think about hunting 3rd or 4th season for deer there?

Nice buck, looks to be about 26 to 27 wide. I think he would score just under 180 inches.

If I had that many points I'd look to find some private land west of Craig in unit 3 or 301 an pay a trespass fee. Last time I hunted that area there were lots of antelope around. Or unit 201, lots of antelope.

I hunted 52/521/411 about 7 years ago with 3 buddies, we hunted above Hotchkiss in a burned area. I killed a 26 inch buck, two other buddies killed a 30 an a 28. Other guy shot a meat buck. Seen quite a few deer in six days.

Guys which of these units would you hunt if given the chance ? My buddy an I are looking to draw one of them this year. Looking for so info on them!

elks96, thanks for the input.The guys at Epic outdoors say all together a different story, they say good bucks in the 180- 190 class can be taken in this unit with muzzleloader if you work to find them.Thats why I came to forum to get more guys input. Thank you Randy
