Ok I'll bite. Over the last 20+ years what group of bureaucrats have had banquets with wildlife tags to raise money for the wildlife? What group of bureaucrats have had a hunting show that has been very successful in generating money and again tags to auction off for the betterment of wildlife...

SFW is prime example of commercialized hunting and it hasn't got any better in Utah. In Fact with them pulling the strings it has gotten worse.JMO

Tags are how you manage hunters not how you manage the herd

No don't think adding tags will magically fix anything, but I am for the most tags possible.

I have paid attention you constantly focus on buck numbers and size. I'm talking about dirt roads. Way too many. Let's close a few down. Why do we need a road in every draw during the hunting season.

Does, habitat, roads. Those are the 3 areas I would focus on to help grow the herd

I think this is why we as hunters are usually on different ends when it comes to tag cuts. Most people go to the same places every year, hunt the same places and then try and make a judgment call on the whole unit. no doubt places change over time and nothing is like it was as we remember it...

How about that whatever NR deer tags they cut from G and H they add those numbers to available NR elk licenses in those 2 areas.

Well I am going to blame the elk for the demise of the deer herd as much as anything. When the state made elk king in this state and focused on them the deer herd went down. The manti, fish lake , beaver and others when there was not as many elk were way better for deer than now. Let's get rid...

Not that I disagree with this statement or its principle, but when I was referring to the statement that we need this to help "the herd", I thought it meant mule deer herd not "wyoming resident herd".

Not that I disagree, but i think this is what the Non Residents are saying. Why cut the NR tags if it wont help the herd.
