It took me 19 preference points to draw out in Wy as a nonresident. Also a key factor, is in a successful draw, is the area to which you apply. I was trying for a area that typically took 22 point so I researched an went to an area which had better odds of draw.

I was able to call in a few bulls but not shooters, 2 other bigger bulls I was able to spot and stalk but the elk hunters blew it up. This guy actually crossed a two track in front of me at 35 yards and I stopped him with a call. Then lights out lol! ? it took me 19 years to draw my permit in...

Thanks, he was about 25 yards, I shoot 300 Win Mag and yes everyday we seen on a average of 5-8 moose. A lot of bulls and cows. I chased around a couple bigger bulls but couldn’t get the shot. I hunted 21 days

Had a great hunt, seen a lot of moose and chased a couple of monsters but couldn’t get to them. Finally got this guy on day 21

Sure thing, any info would be great I used to live in Wy and hunted that area for elk for 6-7 years. Did see lots of moose back then I left Wy in 2003 after being transferred by my company. Thanks!

Thanks! I hunted that area for 8 years until I was transferred out by my company I loved hunting elk and deer in that area can’t wait to see it again!! Also fishing on LaBarge creek was great too!

Wow not sure what happened, lost my account and thread after the update. Anyhow I have 19 non-resident preference points for Wyoming moose. Was wondering which area would be best to try for a tag unit 23 or 24? Unit 26 is out of range Thanks Gunner
