If you think one lone person in the UDWR makes all the decisions, you need mental help. Every decision,in the every region, and the sate office takes a team to make a decision. All those people on that team have to answer to a supervisor or manager, just like most people do. They go to work...

I know i am going to be hated for this but this should be a closure every year. We chase big game from August to January let those animals have a break after being chased for 6 months.

Most of you have read the story so i wont go into it much. This is my daughters first hunt, first deer, and she got it done opening morning. This buck was taken on the mentor program in Utah.

I have used Fords twice and they are the reason i cut my own meat. If i had to take it to anybody it would be Springville Meats but I havent had anyone but myself touch my harvested animals for 14 years.

That is awesone. I had my daughter get her first animal on opening day. It was also her first hunt. I know how you feel. Great job.

She is pretty small so i built that gun just for her so she could hunt deer. Its a 6.5 grendel and it did the job.

Most of the camping spots I see is along Little Wood River. I never camped out there.

When i lived up in Idaho i wouldnt take my dog out until late October due to her possibly being bit. I chuckar hunted a lot in the Bennett Hills and I would come across rattle snakes almost everytime I went out before mid October.

I use to spend quite a bit of time in the area and there are some nice bucks and I have hunted this area a few times with my bow. The lava fields close to water is where I concentrated my efforts but i was hunting in September when it is still really warm and they are hitting water frequently...

I would rather use gaiters because most of the snake boots are heavy and bulky. The gaiters are blocky and stiff as well but are more comfortable than a knee high boot. The gaiters I have used in the past I believe were called turtle skin. I was lucky enough to never have to test the gaiters to...

The answer would be none. My biggest buck scores a little over 150.

Get the retired vets and police officers at the school to protect the kids. Hell anybody competent enough to carry that wants to be there.

Mule deer buck count in Utah 7. I have harvested 2 does in utah. In Idaho I have killed 3 bucks and one doe.

My old man is 61 and he works out everyday. He does simple things at home like push ups, dips, sit ups, crutches, curls, and he walks 3-5 miles a day. He has been doing this since i was born. He is getting slower on the mountain and he has had some severe health issues that forced him to retire...

I am kind of in the same boat as you. I have been living in Idaho for the last 5 years and moved back home last May. I drew a deer tag for the place I grew up hunting and last year we spotted some nice bucks in that area during the hunts. This year I am going to be picky on what i harvest.

I am not good at scoring but I love how heavy he is and the frame. For the score i would guess 160s.

Wasatch is an awesome unit. Find water and do a lot of scouting trips before hand.

I will echo what Tikka said. The deeper you go the less people you will see which will in turn be better for you. If you think you went far enough go further. You better be in great shape because its up hill both ways. I grew up at the base of that mountain and hunting it. Its a tough mountain...

About 3 weeks ago the family and I drove from Price to Spanish Fork and we counted 27 dead animals. I do know that the DWR and contractors clean up carcasses every once in a while. We need a lot more wildlife overpasses in this state.

I have a bunch of 20 gauge steel. I am in the Price area.

Congratulations on a good buck. Every year there is usually a really good buck that come off the Vernon but the average bucks I see are around 150". I hope some of the areas I mentioned to you helped out.
