Unit 66 muzzy elk. Burning 17 NR Points pics Please

He is looking to harvest a decent 6 point bull. Nothing more than a good elk hunting experience and a chance at a 310" class bull. That's all, the hunt is what matters and we believe we found a good spot with a decent amount of elk to provide some bugles and rut activity and in turn a fun hunt.

Unit 66 muzzy elk. Burning 17 NR Points pics Please

You guys are funny. Why criticize a guy for making his own decisions and using his own brain. I mean thanks for your opinions but I definitely did not ask if 66 muzzy hunt was worth 17 NR points or not, I asked for pictures. I just wanted to see pictures of bull elk harvested in Colorado to get...

Unit 66 muzzy elk. Burning 17 NR Points pics Please

Please share pics of some unit 66 bulls to get the blood pumping! My brother and I both had 17 NR points this year. After a successful 3rd season elk hunt in 66 last year for my son-in-law, we decided to burn our points for a hunt that took 16 NR points to draw last year. We decided that he...

    NM youth tag sucess.

I live in Farmington and have my whole life of 40 years. I have hunted all of unit 2 my whole life. The youth hunt in 2b last year IMO didn't affect the resident deer population in 2b very much. The ones who should be upset about and probably should have a lawsuit against NMDGF is the Southern...

    NM Youth Hunt Success

I only go by what I see. I live in Farmington and have my whole life. I've seen a huge number of the deer harvested during this youth deer hunt, either by pic or in person, both this year and last. I am in the field for a good part of the hunting season from August to January. It is obvious to...

9 out of 10 bucks killed during the youth hunt are Colorado deer. Doesn't do anything to the other hunts as far as quality. IMO

Colorado High Country Mule Deer Question.

I would say that I am bias in my suggestion but I'd wait for 74 IMO. I do think it took 15 or 16 points this year for a NR to guarantee the tag. Took me 14 points in '17. I was obviously lucky in harvesting this guy seeming that I had a very limited time to scout. They are there, just have to...

    Unique Unit 13 Opportunity

My wife and I drew the first muzzleloader season for elk. Hunt starts October 12. Hit me up a week after that and I'll share what I get in to. I have a not so secret spot that most people pass up. It is a challenge on sealing the deal there if you have not had a bunch of trial and error, but I...

Joe, I am directly involved with the DSC New Mexico Chapter. I am currently an events coordinator for the organization. You ask, "Is it more of a high end group of people?" I'd say not high end at all, just a tad bit higher end raffle prizes and auction items. They hosted the Governor's Banquet...

I did not get the amount of response I was hoping the MM community would give me, positive or negative.... Maybe this info helps, so far there are 53 mule deer mounts entered in to the show. There are at least 6 of them over 200" and 2 of them over 240". 2 of the entries are Lt Governors State...

PowerBelt, shoot all grains out of your rifle. Use the one that your gin like a the most. That gets the tightest grouping. Won't use anything else, at anything else after you try them.

    Unit 2 ELK

I'll help you out.... I am a life long resident of Farmington and have hinted unit 2 long before they split it up into A B & C, close to 30 years.
