I killed a twin to your bull on the same unit in 2021 on the archery hunt except for opposite sided 5x6’s. He was a six year old bull. Very similar genetics. Biggest bodied elk that I have killed as well.

I was there in 2021 and would agree. I filled my tag on the last day but it was not what someone would expect for a lot of points. I had fun on the hunt and seen plenty of deer so those boxes were checked. Good luck.

300 RUM and 270 WSM are my favorites. I don’t see the need to chase the PRC craze. At the ranges I hunt at what I have will make the animals just as dead and saves me money. For the kids it is a 243 and 6.5 Creedmoor.
