Fellow muleys! I will be headed out to Platoro and surrounding areas for the bull hunt this year(assuming I draw with 2 points), and I can’t wait! Hope to get there a week before season to scout. Already have a cabin booked at Lake Fork. I’ve got a few potential spots I’m going to have a look at. Anyways, never hunted the area, if anyone has any offering advice it’d be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
 
Good luck. Prepare for the possibility of deep snow. Hunted there in 94. Was not prepared for the 4 1/2 feet of snow we got. Turned a bull hunt into a survival situation for a lot of hunters. Have not been back to that unit since. Same thing can happen in any of the surrounding units though.
