161 Deer

Has anyone have any info on how the Muzzleloader deer hunt would be in unit 161 or the North Park area? I hunted Antelope there last Oct and was thinking about hunting deer there next year. I just dont want to be hunting with 5000 people anymore like hunting near Maybel.

My brother in law hunts that unit all of the time. There are some big bucks, but it is a tough hunt in September. The bucks are usually in timber and hard to find. You may want to check the points because it has changed after they combined units. And the elk season at the same time causes lots of traffic. It's hard to get away from the elk guys because there's no separate habitat for the deer, so everyone is hunting the same country.
