So I’ve never drawn a tag or had the dates line up for me for antelope until this year. Any tips? Everyone says they’re easy and I’ve read the generic stuff. Do you hunt all day? Or go in midday? Any field care tips for the meat?

One tip...

if the wind allows, in early morning and late evening, when the sun is fairly low in the sky, hunt with the sun at your back. The sun reflecting off the white on antelope makes then extremely easy to see early and late when doing this.

"Going in" midday can be a long trip in antelope country, but like most hunting things generally slow down during the heat of the day.

Antelope stink, but the meat can be excellent if you skin it and cool it as quick as you possible. I always take a cooler with ice, skin and debone the critter as quick as possible. They are not big animals, so it can fit in a good size cooler pretty easily.
