Got my Pauns cactus buck yesterday. He's the same buck my niece was hunting last year. Were finally getting some weather down here.

Thanks everybody. I had this buck in mind when I applied for the tag. Things worked out just as planned for a change. This is a needle in a hay stack hunt if your head hunting.

I have often wondered if I would shoot a cactus buck if I ever encountered one with a tag in my pocket. If I saw that one, I would certainly take the shot. Very cool buck and awesome rifle!

Question: Did this deer have normal testicles?
Reason I ask is my son killed a buck with velvet on his horns a few years ago and it had a doe looking face like this deer and almost nothing for testicles.

Sjhgreysage he had testicles but they were alot smaller than a normal buck. He was small bodied but fat..

Onthehoof he wasn't rutting he just smelled like a wet buck. It was odd to grab the warm antlers on a cold day.
