2020 Utah Archery Speed Goat

Drew out for a Utah archery antelope tag, pretty excited for this hunt. Will be my first antelope with a bow.

Here are some goats I scouted out before I drew out back in April. Will update with more scouting pics as the season goes on.

Found the big heavy clean buck again and got some great pictures of him.

Also found this awesome nontypical beast.

Cannot wait for my hunt. Only been officially scouting for a week but have found some bruisers.

Have been taking my 3 year old daughter on some of the scouting trips she has a blast. And as you can see is a lot of help on the glass. 😆

Well unfortunately my top buck was killed the first few minutes of the season by another hunter, congrats to that guy, I still had a blast watching that buck all summer, and i was able to put my hands on him at the taxidermist shop so that was pretty cool.

here it is my 2020 Utah archery antelope. I had a blast on this hunt, i kinda wish utah would offer more opportunity to hunt these guys. I seen a ton of goats and had a lot of fun. Ended my hunt on day two with this super simetrical buck. Only 1/4 inch deduction on him. He grossed 75 1/4 and the only difference was a 1/4 on the prongs.

My buddy Pat got his goat on day 1, his first pronghorn ever and only his second animal with a bow.

I found this awesome deer shed out in the desert too. It was a dang good weekend of hunting.

We got them both dropped off at the taxidermist.

Had a great time and hope to do it again some day.

Well this will probably be the final post for this hunt adventure. I got my antelope back from the meat cutter the other day and last night was my first chance to put him to the test.

I got to say he is delicious 😋.

I've herd alot of mixed reviews on the subject but I was not disappointed. Now if only there was a little more meat to these buggers. LOL.

And today the hunt is officially complete picked my buck up from the taxidermist today and brought him home. My daughter named him Andy the Antelope.
