There were quite a few decent bucks. We didn't see many bigger than the one I took. 3 other stalks the first few days.

We had this buck as one of our top 3 bucks this year and I had him on day 3 of the hunt at 46 yards bedded. He had one buddy with him that was blocking vitals when they stood up. Later that afternoon he ran by me inside of 20 yards but I couldn’t stop him. Came close to getting other opportunities and it finally worked out on day 13. Got him broadside at 72 yards.

I was able to harvest this beautiful Colorado buck on September 21. I spotted the buck up feeding midday and was able to get in front of him. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a shot and ended up bumping the buck. Thankfully I was able to keep eyes on him and he didn’t go to far before stopping. He went out of sight behind a pinyon pine tree and I was hopeful that he had bedded there. I made a circle back around and was able to get the wind in my face and when I finally got to within bow range of the tree approximately two hours later he was unexpectedly up and feeding right by the tree where I had last seen him. I was able to make the long shot and he was down within 20-30yds of where I shot him.
