I am going to have to try that, LOL!!!!Is this for any CC hit or just Hunt related? Cause I just got a CC hit for Viagra. Pretty excited to get it because I got a really bad sunburn and this should keep the sheets off my legs so I can sleep at night.

Ok Boomer (in more ways than one)Is this for any CC hit or just Hunt related? Cause I just got a CC hit for Viagra. Pretty excited to get it because I got a really bad sunburn and this should keep the sheets off my legs so I can sleep at night.
You might need to try another brand. To be effective with the sheet canopy, your angle is probably only around 90 degrees. You need to find a brand that gets you in the 170 degree range. Is this for any CC hit or just Hunt related? Cause I just got a CC hit for Viagra. Yes, could happen over the next couple hours and possibly tomorrow I believe.Do credit cards usually get hit over an extended period of time such as several hours or days?
And some cards post immediately and other's hold them as pending until they get around to posting them. So yes. It could be a couple days.Yes, could happen over the next couple hours and possibly tomorrow I believe.
Why are the dates in a different font and the year isn't formatted YYYY?
I would say if you haven’t gotten a charge yet you’re SOLDo credit cards usually get hit over an extended period of time such as several hours or days?

I know that the only general unit where tag numbers were increased was Pine Valley. Not sure where the final numbers are posted.where can we see tag allocations for this years general season deer tags? Or tag cut numbers by unit?
No units had increases, the WB shut down any tag increases that the division submitted. Tags was either kept the same, or decreased in the hard hit areas up north.I know that the only general unit where tag numbers were increased was Pine Valley. Not sure where the final numbers are posted.
Let's just put a pin in it.No units had increases, the WB shut down any tag increases that the division submitted. Tags was either kept the same, or decreased in the hard hit areas up north.
They did increase Pine Valley, but not as much as the recommendation. No units had increases, the WB shut down any tag increases that the division submitted. Tags was either kept the same, or decreased in the hard hit areas up north.
Cut 2000 tags last year from 4000 down to 2000. Recommended increase was 1100 this year, but cut it back to 800 for a total of 2800.I was under the impression that Pine Valley went from 1,800 to 2,300, but maybe there was a further change after that.
i believe it was 2300 for this year, i’m hoping to have enough points for the archery tag…Cut 2000 tags last year from 4000 down to 2000. Recommended increase was 1100 this year, but cut it back to 800 for a total of 2800.
Correct - 2,800 tags was the initial recommendation by the Division for Pine Valley, but the Wildlife Board reduced it and approved 2,300i believe it was 2300 for this year, i’m hoping to have enough points for the archery tag…
I say BS on this. Only one I have seen anywhere.
Yup fake.. next to debt s/b xxxxxxx-1234I say BS on this. Only one I have seen anywhere.

I hope you get it, good luck!Fingers crossed that 3 points will get a couple family members a general season muzzy deer tag on pine valley this fall. This is getting bad. Not a single general deer tag last year in my family or friends. Never set foot on our deer hunting stomping grounds last year.
Everything else is a long shot in random draw.
Since it looks like we will be anxiously waiting at least another day or 2, how many are legitimately expecting to draw this year? I’m hopeful to get a south cache muzzy elk tag and muzzy deer, hoping 20 points does the trick this year! In theory it should but you never know who jumps!
It has got to be tomorrow. I have a real shot at drawing Mountain Goat, but if a few people switch units it will kill me.
I put in with 21 elk and 19 mountain goat points. For elk, I have no idea where the masses are going to migrate with all the new changes. I'm guessing the movement won't improve my draw odds. For mountain goats, I'm on the cusp of drawing. I am also a 2nd year dedicated hunter. Since I took a buck my first year, I'll be picky this year. I almost always do general season OTC archery elk.Since it looks like we will be anxiously waiting at least another day or 2, how many are legitimately expecting to draw this year? I’m hopeful to get a south cache muzzy elk tag and muzzy deer, hoping 20 points does the trick this year! In theory it should but you never know who jumps!
Nope just a gullible tard..... lolYou're F'N With Us JakeH!
I'll get an archery elk tag over the counter. I doubt I'll draw the le elk tag I put in for. Pretty confident I'll draw GS archery deer since I put in for crappy units just so I get a tag and can hunt the extended.Since it looks like we will be anxiously waiting at least another day or 2, how many are legitimately expecting to draw this year? They need to shoot only spike/forks and does for a few years on that unit. They did increase Pine Valley, but not as much as the recommendation.
What brought you to that conclusion? They need to shoot only spike/forks and does for a few years on that unit.
I hunted it in 2020.What brought you to that conclusion?
I don’t see how killing up and coming bucks and does would help a herd that’s roughly at the population objective the DNR set.I hunted it in 2020.
the f&*( they dont. I live in a state that did a 4pt min on whitetails for 3 years. The quality jumped way up.Point restrictions don't work... shooters kill bigger bigs and just leave them..
Jester
Not sure...thought spike/forks was a genetic thing? Wouldn't you want 1 year old deer to have at least forks on both sides? I'm not a biologist but I think spike/forks would be the stepchildren to better genetics. is that the wrong thought process in your opinion?I don’t see how killing up and coming bucks and does would help a herd that’s roughly at the population objective the DNR set.
That’s a common misconception that has been disproven. While genetics may be the issue, it’s much more commonly linked to nutrition. Not sure...thought spike/forks was a genetic thing? 22 pt here ...sameI put in for Paunsaugunt rifle with 20 points NR, still a few years out but had to try.
Don't work..the f&*( they dont. I live in a state that did a 4pt min on whitetails for 3 years. The quality jumped way up.

keep believing, the harvest stats in those units did not lie as the age class was far higher. Nope way further north than UTDon't work..
You in Texas?
If there were no bonus or preference points you would draw every year!I put in for the Dutton muzzy elk, zero bonus points. If I don't draw, then the system is rigged!

Don’t worry, there will be plenty of “spike/forks” shot. No need for a special hunt for them. They need to shoot only spike/forks and does for a few years on that unit.
The best big buck draw units in my state have been severely impacted by two point only otc tags. One of them used to be a top 10 all time county for B&C non typical bucks but not no mo.They need to shoot only spike/forks and does for a few years on that unit.
you must be talkin the low 40s units........The best big buck draw units in my state have been severely impacted by two point only otc tags. One of them used to be a top 10 all time county for B&C non typical bucks but not no mo.
We also hunted PV in 2020, two 4 point bucks and ate one tag.
Those and a few others. Two point genocide every year.you must be talkin the low 40s units........
Isnt that the truth..I hunted up there last year and didn't see squat..lots of elk. Me and my boy had PV last year. Checked the spots you and I messaged about, hunted hard and killed the only 4 point we saw during the hunt. Pretty awesome looking country, just very few animals in it!The best big buck draw units in my state have been severely impacted by two point only otc tags. The mythical dead two point story that always comes upAnd I live in a state that did that and all it did was produce A LOT of two pts laying dead on the ground.
So, anectdotal at best...
So, genetics or feed....or lack there of sufficient feed/nutrients?
I did too Tony! If both of us do not DRAW then I KNOW it is rigged!I put in for the Dutton muzzy elk, zero bonus points. If I don't draw, then the system is rigged!

The mythical dead two point story that always comes up
AgreeFocus everyone, focus. This thread is not about managing the deer herd. It is to determine when I can expect an Elk "hit" on my card....
Prove it happened.Prove it's a myth motormouth.
Prove it happened.
I have hunted the Utah Spike Hunt, Four point or better for deer in Wyoming, Colorado elk with point restrictions and I have yet to come across a ground checked animal.
I don't care if you like it as a management tool or not, but it seems to get used without much of a problem. I get that 30 years ago some Basinite Hillbilly dumped a couple two points in the Book Cliffs with his Tasco rifle scope while jacked up on mountain dew. I would just think we could get past that.
yeah you are pretty anecdotal yourself budLike I said, anecdotal, and striaght from the supervising game warden and head forester after the rifle deer hunts were over the year it was implemented.
We aren't talking about WY, UT, or CO in the state I'm from. We're talking about the northern NM's from the little "villages" that can't control themselves...
Do not need an anecdote, just a first hand truthful account would do...Anyone have an anecdote of getting their card hit? A real one that is ……
But maybe the later app dates are having an effect and it will literally be late May for results??
It's the lady that is over the draw, (lindy? I think)
She said right in the WB Meeting that she would not post results unit the May 31st. My guess is that, Unfortunately, CC hits won't start until a week from now.
I don't realy know why she is being so crabby about it. But she needs to remember she works for us and not the other way around.
I was thinking the same thing now that I remember Director Shirley reiterating her stance in his comments at the WB meeting. It does drag our the anticipation a little longer. It's the lady that is over the draw, (lindy? I think)

If they wanted they could do the draws right now and post results in a couple days. I think they are intentionally holding back. If it doesn't happen today then I think it won't happen until the end of next week.In the other thread I think someone pointed out that as long as this link is still valid to update your cc, the draw has not happened: https://www.utah-hunt.com/UDWRCcUpdate_M/
I believe they said once the cc update link goes dead - cards start getting hit the next business day? So, best case card hits tomorrow...if the link goes down today?
But maybe the later app dates are having an effect and it will literally be late May for results??
Like Montana. I drew a Bighorn sheep permit and never even applied. LolI Just Heard From A Fairly Reliable Source They Over-Drew a Few LE Units Causing A Delay!
Lindy is great and she does everything she can to expedite the results, but she didn't want to set expectations that couldn't be guaranteed, especially with the later start this year. Better to underpromise and overdeliver than the other way around.
If these delays that Bess are referring to are true, that's exactly why she didn't want to promise anything sooner. Perfect risk mitigation if you ask me.
