hey guys
i have a ruger 22-250. i shoot both 45 and 55 grain bullets and i have my gun sighted in at 200 yrds. can you guys give me a pretty accurate drop chart.
100yrds-
200yrds-
300yrds-
400yrds-
500yrds
out to about 1000yrds

Here are the numbers I came up with:
For the 45 grain bullet:
100 yards : +0.73"
200 yards : 0
300 yards : -4.74"
400 yards : -15.03"
500 yards : -33.11"
1000 yards: -411.65"

For the 55 grain bullet:
100 yards : +0.93"
200 yards : 0
300 yards : -5.35"
400 yards : -16.65"
500 yards : -35.89"
1000 yards: -404.23"

For not knowing anything more that what you said, here is what I got using Sierra bullet calculator with some assumtions. There is no way of really even getting close at 1000 yard unless you shoot your gun that far out, look at the diffrence we had a 1000 yards with basically the same data for 500 and under... .224 caliber bullets are not very reliable for long rang shooting... Most 22-250 bullets will hit with in an inch or two of each other with decent loads regaudless of bullets, out to about 400 yards.

With a 200 yard zero using average velocity of 3900fps for the 45gr spitzer. We must have used the same velocity...and bullet???

100- +.75
200- 0.0
300- -4.85
400- -15.26
500- -33.33
1000- 410.09

using 3600 for 55gr spitzer 200 yard zero look at the diffrence... not knowing velocity or bullet has a huge effect at long range.

100- +.92
200- 0.0
300- -5.12
400- -15.47
500- -32.58
1000- -325.46
