tring to work up a handload for my daughters gun. she has been using Rem. 115gr corelocks but the drop at 200 yards is incredible. would consider using barnes or nosler. she basicly only hunts deer or antelope with it but we are thinking of taking it on our cariboo hunt next year.

are you shooting a pretty light load? a roberts at 200 yards should do quite well. i only load 100 gr bullets in mine. it's a real old one with a slow barrel twist and doesn't shoot the longer bullets well. but i've never noticed excessive drop. i don't know if i'd use it on caribou tho. pretty light. it will do the job ok, if you're a real good shot. but they're a fairly large animal. i'd like something a little larger, myself.
