2A youth mule deer hunt

I will be headed to 2A on November 21st for my sons 2A youth tag. If anyone has any information that they would like to pass along it would be greatly appreciated. We will most likely be staying in Farmington. Good luck to all the your hunters.

My daughter has the same tag. Still formulating a plan. I would suggest Google Earth and something like onXmaps to start, and although it is a "rut hunt", wouldn't pass up a nice little two point. There is a certain canyon I'm looking at right now, but that may all change in the weeks to come.

The intent of moving these youth hunts back was to give more opportunity for a kiddo to get their first deer, not the largest. Going into it with that in mind, should be a good hunt.

My sons shot a 21inch 4x3 on the second day. We were not seeing many deer but overall a fun hunt.

No I will be heading back January for my 2C archery hunt. New Mexico was nice to us this year. Two great tags.
