[Three100mag]

Ive been thinking about buying a 300 wsm in a ruger m77 stainless. has anybody here shot a 180 gr bullet throgh one? i know what the reloading books as far as speed but what about real-life through a chronograph? If anybody here has shot one through a chrono, ( 180 grain) please let me know how long of barrel and what kind of load < hot mild whatever. thanks

I have chronoed Federal factory loads with 180 grain Nosler Accubonds out of three rifles. Two with 24" barrels averaged 3053 and 3057 fps, and the third rifle with a 26" barrel averaged 3090 fps. Temp was about 50* With handloads, I have not had a problem getting 3000 fps with various 180 grainers.
