Lots of 14 inch bucks but 15 is a rarity in 89. The best bucks come from Sweetwater, Fremont and Carbon county though any unit in Wyoming which can get a buck to 3+ years can have the potential. 89 is a fun unit though with high success rates and lots of public land.

Early Oct. 89, and late Oct 89. There are a lot of them to look over to find good ones.

thanks for the info i have 13 points and was planning on hunting 57. but my son would like to go hunt too. so i would lose have my points so ive been looking at units that take 6 or 7 points to draw. any other ideas for better units that take that point range?

We had an early and late tag in 2019. Worked really, really hard to find a couple that were right at 15” and high 70’s.
Good unit for success but tough to find a next-level buck in my experience———SS
