Went up Saturday to do some fishing, catch up with some old friends and do a final sight in for an up coming Muzzleloader elk hunt.

First off, hit the lake at dawn and started catching trout immediately. After a couple of 12" ers, I started picking up some 18" to 20" 2.5 to 3 lb fish. I boated 4 over two lbs, and a dozen smaller fish. I only keep two, the rest were released.

Next up I headed into deer camp, leaving the boat at the lake.
I pulled out the front stuffer, and after a few minor adjustments, was hitting the bullseye at 200 yards.
After lunch, a few beers and a short nap, one my my old buddlis joined me on the lake and we fished till dark. Had some crows chase a huge bald eagle withing 20 yards od my baot, dang I wish the camera had been ready.
We caught a bunch more trout.

That's living life right there! The fish on that plank is beyond words.
