A tire/rim question

I wanna go with some custom rims on my belcher. It has 17" wheels, but, most of the options for DRW show 20" options. I'm not against going with 20s, but I gotta wonder if those shorter sidewalls will result in a noticeable decrease in flexion when I'm puttering around in the mountains or in normal towing situations.

What say you belcher owners?

19.5 wheels for the win. They have a much higher load rating and 19.5 tires generally last 2-3x as long as LT tires. The best part is that your stimulus won't even buy half of the wheels you need, much less tires to fit em!

I agree with deciding what your best tire options are first. Some sizes are getting harder to find tires for.

IT sorta depends on how important your off-road handling matters to you. The taller rims are designed for road handling.

Personally, I would keep the 17s. You get more sidewall flex...which as you mentioned will ride smoother. That translates to less stress on your trucks suspension, frame and body and also on your body (verses your trucks body).
