Merry Christmas to all...

I investigated this and it's TRUE! Buyers have the opportunity to click on a link to donate 5% of their purchase price to the anti-gun group, The Million Mom March.

Please write or phone Jeff Bezos, Amazon's president and founder, to express your displeasure and ALSO tell him that unless pro-gun advocates can choose to donate 5% of THEIR purchases to the NRA that you will be doing no more shopping at Amazon.com

As one who probably spent a minimum of $1,000 at Amazon.com in 2004, I can tell you they will get not one more cent of my money until they either comply or do away with the donation to TMMM (The Million Mom March).

Thanks for your help on this matter,

Kathy Etling

-------------------------------

Amazon.com, the online superstore, has united with the anti-gun movement this holiday season.
Amazon.com is promoting the Million Mom March, a group known for its support of strict gun control laws and regulations. It will give five percent of every sale to the organization when visitors access Amazon?s website through the Million Mom March site.
In 2001, the Million Mom March joined the Brady Campaign and the Brady Center to become the largest grassroots, non-partisan, anti-gun organization.
Since then, the group has supported many anti-gun proposals, such as New Jersey Assembly Bill 3942, which was proposed to outlaw the sale of .50 caliber or larger firearms including muzzleloaders. Fortunately for sportsmen, the bill was withdrawn in January. Similar legislation has been introduced in California, Illinois, New York and Virginia.
The Million Mom March also strongly opposed Senate Bill 1805, a congressional bill that would have protected firearm and ammunition manufacturers, distributors, dealers, and importers from frivolous lawsuits brought by victims of gun abusers.
Take Action! Sportsmen across the nation should contact Amazon.com and educate them about the Million Mom March?s goals to impose unnecessary gun control laws that threaten the rights of law abiding sportsmen and shooters. Contact President Jeff Bezos, Amazon.com, Inc. 1200 12th Ave. South Suite, 1200, Seattle, Washington 98144. Phone (206) 266-1000.

Just finished my nastygram to them indicating that I will cease to do business with them in the future. I usually order from them a few times a year.

Here is the reply that they sent to me:

And here is the reply that I sent them:

So are you saying that if I have a website with your link on it, you would
send me 5% of the sales that my weblink generates? What does it take to get
into your "associates program"? I may want to sign up!

How about if the NRA (National Rifle Association) chooses to list a link for
you on their website. Will you send them 5%?. Do you have ANY pro-gun
advocates on your "Associates" program?? I am curious, since you state that
you have all political sides represented. If so, please name a few.

Bottom line is that the fact remains that you are sending a "kickback" to a
very liberal organization that is very gun control oriented. If that
continues, I will continue to give my business elsewhere.

Thanks for you time.

Sincerely,
