Antelope first week or second week?

I have an antelope tag for O12,O13,O14 I will only be able to get off work for one week so is early better than late? Or does it matter?

Doesnt matter. I would try to go for as many week days as you can and avoid the weekend crowd.

Trophy hunting? hunt before opening day and kill your buck on the opener.
If you want the place to yourself then go during the last week.

That's the dilemma with work and family obligations will only be able to scout a couple of weekends I guess I will decide after scouting there are quite a few tags and I have ran into this before other people have the plans that you do thanks for the opinions

Most if not all areas will not be crowded. Both my hunts I was done opening day with book goats. Show up a couple days early and shoot the best goat opening day

have been there several times on Cali sheep hunt openers, ( Sept 1st ) have not found any antelope hunters ... My choice would be this time line ...Good Luck,

Just as Live2hunt1 said. Much better to scout for a few days and have your buck picked out. Then be on him at first light opening morning.

Schedule your time off to be out there 2 days before the opener. Find the buck you want and kill him on opening day. Save the rest of your vacation for another hunt. ------SS

For the last 10 years everytime anyone in my family drew a quality tag, I showed up 5-7 days early.

Most fun week.

No pressure scouting.

I realize not everybody can do that, but it's my plan forever.
