Any Southern Boys - Brunswick Stew???

Must be my Georgia roots, nothing says South like Pork BBQ and/or Brunswick Stew. Pulled pork, shredded chicken, some ring sausage, beans, corn, celery, onion, garlic, tomatoes. Yellow potatoes at the end to tighten it all up. Add in some deviled eggs and cornbread and you have a family reunion!!

I thought Brunswick stew was made with squirrel? Guess not.

My freezer's a little short on squirrel and possum right now, so I used what I had!!

I agree with buckbrush: brunswick stew is sposed to have squirrel in it! I am from North Florida (Lake City) and always thought of it as having squirrrel. I don't like squirrel much (damn greasy- all them nuts/acorns they eat) but think that's the way it's supposed to be made, prob fine in a stew.
