LAST EDITED ON Feb-13-09 AT 01:18PM (MST)[p]Was just perusing the conference committee report on the Economic Stimulus bill. Here are a few nuggets.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND OTHER DEFENSE ACTIVITIES
DEFENSE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANUP
The conferees agree to provide an additional $5,127,000,000 for the Defense
Environmental Cleanup program, instead of $500,000,000 as proposed by the House and
$5,527,000,000 as proposed by the Senate.

Here is one they should have funded because with the amount of crap being produced in DC the sewer probably do need an upgrade.

FEDERAL PAYMENT TO THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY

The conference agreement does not provide funding for the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority, instead of $125,000,000 as proposed by the Senate.

Here is a good one: The house proposed $14 mil the senate $7 mil the conference committee compromised and agreed to $84 mil.

RECOVERY ACT ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY BOARD
The conference agreement provides $84,000,000 for the Recovery Act Accountability and
Transparency Board, instead of $14,000,000 as provided by the House and $7,000,000 as
provided by the Senate.
