They are still very henned up in central utah. It’s looking like the general hunt will be the best hunt this year. Opening weekend of the LE pushed 3 smaller flocks into 1 big mega flock and they have been like that for almost 2 weeks now. They just sit out in the wide open, 150 birds and spend all day there. They aren’t showing much breeding activity at all or even making any noise, it’s pretty weird to watch.

I have a early tag for the central region and it's been an extremely strange hunt it's looking like the general season this year is setting up to be the better hunt. We'll see how it turns out I finally heard some gobbling this morning and saw a few small flocks with a good Tom working a few hens in each so I'm glad I have the next 4 days off work to try and seal the deal
