Archery Affidavit Question

Hi All,

Considering trying to grab an elk tag next week to bowhunt in ID.

When I go to purchase the tag am I able to input my previous archery license info at checkout? Or do I need to have the archery affidavit processed by IDFG ahead of time?

Searching on here and another forum I've found both answers so far...

I am not 100%, but as I remember you can show proof of a prior archery permit and sign the waiver. I would do this at a F and G office, although I am not sure if it can be done at any license vendor.

You don’t need the affidavit until you get your archery permit. The affidavit is a form you’ll fill out and submit.

As stated above you can buy the tag and then purchase your archery permit later on

You can also go on G & F website and take the online free archery hunter ed . Takes about 2 hours to complete and then you are good to go,
