Archery Equipment to Mexico??

Got a last minute invite to fill a spot on a Goulds hunt in Sonora and was told I could bowhunt if I want.

Searching online I only found 1 thread from within the last year and a bunch from 2014 and prior. Will likely bring my compound but am tempted to bring a recurve if it makes a difference.

Anyone traveled into Mexico w/ a bow recently or able to point me to the regs where I can confirm there's no issues? Likely crossing into Mexico at Naco and back at Agua Prieta.

You’ll have no issues. We go back and forth with archery equipment a handful of times a season, and have never had any issues. I don’t remember them ever even opening my case after I tell them it’s a bow.

Headed over on Thursday. Not sure where we're crossing now but the outfitter seems confident.

I'll be back (hopefully lol) with a story. TBD if it's a horror story or a good one I guess. It's been 15 years since I've last been to Mexico

I crossed yesterday morning with my bow. You’ll be just fine.
